Why does the player need to see this information in the server browser?

Well, you wouldn't want to join a server stuffed with gigabytes of cars and ped models while using a potato computer and/or crap internet, now would you?

The size displayed can be inaccurate because:

  • It does not take into account the files the player already has (cached locally).
  • The server may be using an external web server with compression enabled.
  • It does not measure files transferred by alternate/custom methods.

  1. It shouldn't be. The column is supposed to only show the resource size on the server regardless of how much the client has cached.
  2. I don't think the MTA server won't be able to receive the resource size data from said web server.
  3. It doesn't need to.
