Summary0005452: After updating using the in-game updater, temporary installation files are not automatically deleted
Description

I updated from 1.0.4 to 1.0.4 rc-1783 using the in-game updater. I noticed "mtasa-1.0.4-rc-1783-20100618.exe" was still in the %temp% folder. It should be automatically deleted after installation.

This bug is confirmed. An easy workaround would be to simply have the installer (that is installing the latest version) set to delete itself after a completed, successful installation, or instead have MTA run the installer in the background, through itself, just to update the needed files and have it delete the files after install.

  1. Install old nightly build http://nightly.mtasa.com/mtasa-1.3.1-rc-4640-20120910.exe
  2. Launch MTA, it will ask you to install the latest available update (4710)
  3. Now it will install next update (4710-2)
  4. Go to Advanced tab on settings and check for latest nightly
Result: lot of temp files in ProgramData\MTA San Andreas All\1.3\upcache (Windows 7/Vista)

MTA keeps the files for 7 days in case they are needed again. After that time they are moved into the recycle bin.

So this can be closed as "resolved", I guess.
