Description

No matter in which dimension the player and in which one the pickup is you're always able to pick it up even though you can't see it.

The matchingDimension params in onPlayerPickupHit/onPickupHit wouldn't make sense if this behaviour is changed.

Imo it's a feature rather than a bug, if you want to be able to pick up stuff only in the dimension it's created, compare to matchingDimension and cancel the event if it's false.

I dont consider this a feature, it should be implicit that pickups from other dimensions should not be picked up.

And this is not an editor related bug, im not sure why you changed the description.

Do bear in mind we have two events - onPickupHit and onPickupUse. Perhaps triggering them selectively is more sensible. Either way, its not like its hard for a scripter to try and work out when you've hit a pickup in another dimension.

I've thought about this and concluded that pickups that are invisible to the eye should not be pickable - it doesnt make sense. The colshape should match the visibility state. If people want to get pickups from other dimensions its easily scripted.
