Summary0004219: Explosive barrel desynch
Description

When having a big map with barrels, and with multiple players, you will see this pretty often.

When someone drives up to a barrel, the barrel explodes for you. Someone who gets into the area where the barrel WAS, gets to see the barrel, while it was still exploded to the other player. As a result, when the player who can't see the barrel drives to the position where it originally was (and the other player still sees it) the barrel explodes, the explosion is synched and the one who didn't see the barrel dies.

The victim usually has no idea what in the blazes happened. And will be quite annoyed.

He must have been talking about me ^^, very true though, the barrels were just invisible, doesn't happen always though.

We get this a lot with DP 2.3.

The way it seems to happen is if said explosive barrel for Player A has exploded, but Player B wasn't in range for the barrel to be streamed in at that time - when Player B then approaches said barrel, it streams in for him unexploded, Player A drives over the barrel's position, and Player B's client sees the collision and sends the info to the server - causing the explosion.

Edit: and now I see that Paul_Cortez actually explained it very well in the submission and I've not added any useful information. :D
